New developments in the race for the 92nd district election, two of the previous candidates have dropped out.
Marcia Hovey-Wright currently serves as the 92nd district representative which includes, Muskegon, Muskegon Heights, Muskegon Township, North Muskegon, Fruitland Township, Laketon Township, and Whitehall.
Hovey-Wright will not be eligible to run for office in 2016 because of term limits.
Currently in the running is Terry Sabo who announced his candidacy earlier in December. One of the first people to announce that they were running was Sean Mullally. Mullally currently serves on the Muskegon Community College Board of Trustees and ran for House of Representatives previously in 2010.
Two candidates have dropped out of the race, Paula Tillman and Ken Berman.
Tillman dropped out due to medical issues, and Berman dropped out due to time constraints and family concerns.
